How to estimate and purchase your floor.

Once you've decided on your new floor, it's easy to purchase. Just follow the steps below to measure your room and calculate the amount of flooring you need. You may choose to download the project checklist and take it with you to your nearest retailer.

How many skirting pieces do i need?

Determine the perimeter of your room (C). Add the length and width measurements together and multiply by two.

Add the total widths of all doorways in the room (B). Subtract the total widths measured from the perimeter of the room (C) to determine the total length of wall base or quarter round.
